Welcome to this months Stampers by the Dozen Blog Hop – focusing on Background Techniques. I must admit, when this theme was set I did stress a bit – I feel I fall into the CASing way of life when looking for inspiration and I look forward to being totally inspired by my fellow Stampers by the Dozen members.
Who are the Stampers by the Dozen? This little group is made up of 11 Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world. I feel very privileged to be part of this group of inspirational and talented Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. You may have started your Blog Hop Journey here with me or you may have joined from Tashana Lundy who lives in the United States of America. A little bit about me. I live with my husband and fur-babies in Pakenham, Victoria, Australia. I have been a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator for 5 years and really enjoy the opportunity to share my love of paper crafting and Stampin’ Up!
My first card uses the new technique titled Black Ice as invented by Melissa Kerman at Melissa’s Crafting Treehouse. It uses a lot of Clear Embossing Powder, Archival Black Inkpad, and Copper Foil. My card probably does not do Melissa’s technique justice, but for a first shot, I was pretty happy.
My second card highlights the Tarnished Foil technique – using both gold, silver and copper embossing powders layered onto silver foil card.
Thanks for joining me on another hop, although it was a bit rushed as I returned from USA yesterday morning but I hope my projects have provided some inspiration into background techniques.
Until next time,
